The site is self-hosted out of our offices in Malta. We’d show you a picture of the server cabinet but that might be construed as being a bit too geeky. Suffice to say its pretty cool for a design company of 6 people.

This site has been built using Thesis 1.7 running on WordPress 2.9.2. The server is an xServe G5 DP 2.3 running OS X Leopard Server. The MySQL part of the setup comes as standard, as does the PHP 5 and Apache 2.something. We’re not a particularly technical but with the help of google and sheer will power we were able to get the whole thing up and running within a few days. It’s just those few days were actually spread over about 5 months!

Why Thesis?

Thesis is the Daddy of WordPress templates. We bought a developer license (buy one here) immediately after having spent an hour on the site – We were hooked. (That’s another killer part of Thesis  - hooks – and you can have even further control with Open Hooks… this all just gets better and better!)

We got the help of a html-css designer – Mario Borg – and he was very much a part of getting the site from a sketch to a set of Thesis custom edits.
